Statement of Faith
We believe in one sovereign GOD, God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the ONLY LIVINGAND TRUE GOD. He is an eternal tri-unity of three co-equal and divine personalities: GOD the Father, GOD the Son, and GOD the Holy Spirit. He is the creator of heaven and earth, perfect in holiness, infinite in wisdom, unbounded in power and measureless in love. GOD is the source of all Creation and through the immediate exercise of His Power—All things came into being. (Deuteronomy 6;4; Gen 1:1; Matthew 3: 16-17).
We believe that GOD the Father is the Author of Eternal Salvation, having loved the world and given His Son, YESHUA, for its redemption. We believe YESHUA MESSIAH was eternally pre-existent and co-equal with GOD the Father and that He, the Only Begotten Son of GOD, became GOD Incarnate. He was both fully God and fully man, conceived by the HOLY SPIRIT and born of the Jewish virgin, Miriam ( 1 John 4:9; Matthew 1: 20-21; Luke 1: 27-32).
We believe that the HOLY SPIRIT is co-equal and co-eternal with the Father and the Son; that He was active in the creation of all things and continues to be so in providence; that He convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and that He regenerates, sanctifies, baptizes, indwells, seals, illumines, guides, and bestows His gifts upon all believers.
We accept evidence that shows His Name to be known as Yahweh, Yehovah, or by other pronunciations, all of which are based upon the Hebrew letters- YHWH. We use these names interchangeably with the knowledge we are speaking of the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We believe the name Jesus- GOD the Son, is YESHUA (Yehoshua) and consider these names inter-changeable. We believe the Hebrew name of GOD the Holy Spirit is the Ruach Ha-Kodesh and consider both these names inter-changeable. We believe the name of Father YAHWEH should be used, as well as the name of YESHUA, our Lord and Savior. This is not to exclude biblical references such as: Lord, King, or Creator, all of which appear in the Biblical text. We also must accept some latitude in the pronunciation of the Creator’s Name since some of the best biblical scholars disagree.
HaSatan was a created being whose was the highest ranking cherub whose responsibility was to act as the Archangel over YAHWEH’s throne. He was created beautiful and his body was built in such a manner as to be able to produce glorious music for YAHWEH. But he became filled with self-pride and importance and desired to usurp the HOLY ONE, and take control. He caused great upset within the angelic community, and when YAHWEH cast Satan from Heaven, he took one-third of the angels with him! Satan then became the Arch-Enemy of YAHWEH and His people. He is active in the world today and is our arch-enemy. In Revelation 20:1-3, scripture calls him the ‘Serpent’, the ‘Dragon’, and the ‘Devil’. He is currently loose and doing all in his power to cause havoc in the lives of mankind, but when YESHUA returns to earth, haSatan will be bound for 1,000 years. He is a personal devil walking about as a lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). Ha Satan was the tempter of MESSIAH, as well as mankind! We see in Luke 4: 1-13, that he tempted YESHUA. The Bible calls him the ‘god of this age’ who offered YESHUA MESSIAH the kingdoms of this world, but YESHUA overcame Satan with this scripture-Luke 4: 5-8. The same scripture YESHUA used is still valid and powerful for us to use on him when he comes to tempt us. And YESHUA, by the power of the Holy Ghost in Him, was not overcome by Satan’s temptings, and if we are full of the Word of Truth and the Holy Ruach, he will not overcome us either! (2 Corinthians 4: 4-5)
We believe the Old and New Testament are divinely inspired, verbally and completely inerrant in the original writings and of supreme and final authority in all matters of faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16; 1 Peter 1: 23-24; Hebrews 4:12) We recognize the value of traditional Jewish literature, where it is supported by or conformable to the Word of YAHWEH.
We believe that God created man in His image: that because of the disobedience of our first parents in the Garden of Eden, they lost their innocence and both they and their descendants, separated from YAHWEH, suffer physical and spiritual death. YESHUA MESSIAH alone was sinless.
We believe YESHUA, by virtue of His miraculous birth, His sinless life, and perfect
obedience to the Law, voluntarily gave Himself as the perfect atoning sacrifice for the sins of Israel and all mankind; and His sacrificial death made it possible for all to be reconciled to YAHWEH. (Romans 5:8; Galatians 1:4; Hebrews 9:26; Revelation 13:8)
We believe after His death and burial, that on the third day, MESSIAH rose from the dead and ascended into heaven, where He sprinkled His own blood on the alter, making the atoning sacrifice complete. Commanding His disciples to remain in Jerusalem where they would receive the ‘Promise of the Father’, obediently they waited and were baptized by YESHUA with the Ruach HaKodesh, empowering them to preach the Gosple of the Kingdom, heal the sick, raise the dead and provide a new life for all who believe. Now MESSIAH YESHUA is seated at the right hand of the Father, as our Intercessor and Advocate, the Only Mediator between God and man. (Acts of the Apostles; 2 Corinthians 5:15; Matthew 28; Mark 16; Luke 24)
We believe in the literal, physical return of MESSIAH YESHUA to rule and reign upon the throne of David in Jerusalem. (Psalm 2; 2 Samuel 7:12-16; Zechariah 14; Acts 1: 11; Revelation Chapters 19-20)
We believe all have sinned and need to be redeemed. Salvation-redemption is by YAHWEH’s grace and is accomplished in our personal lives through our confession of faith in YESHUA’s death and resurrection which provides atonement for all who commit their life to Him. True saving faith will be evidenced by the fruit of God’s Spirit and works of covenental love. It is YAHWEH’s will that none perish, but all come to faith by accepting the blood atonement made by YESHUA when He offered Himself as the Sacrificial Lamb. (Romans 3:23-25; Romans 10:9-10; Ephesians 2:8-10; 1 Peter 1:18-19; James 2:14-17; Galatians 5:22-25)
We believe all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are still available to all who are willing to be used as the early apostles and disciples were. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are meant to bestow power for the purpose of winning souls, perfecting of the saints, healing the sick, and building and expanding the Kingdom of YAHWEH here on earth. It is only by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us that we can even hope to show forth His love, and in so doing fulfill the commands of the LORD described in Ephesians 5! (Acts Chapters 1-2; 1 Corinthians 12; Ephesians 4: 4-7, 21-24; Ephesians 5:1-33)
We believe in the resurrection and judgment of the righteous to eternal life and the wicked to eternal separation from YAHWEH. (Daniel 12:1-3, Matthew 25;31-46; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Hebrews 9:27; 1 Corinthians 15; Revelation Chapters 20-21)
We believe Israel exists as a Covenant People through whom YAHWEH continues to accomplish His purposes and that the Church is an elect people in accordance with the New Covenant, comprising both Jews and Gentiles who acknowledge YESHUA Messiah as LORD and Savior. (Genesis 12:1-3; 17:2, 4-8; 1 Chronicles 16:15-17; Jeremiah 31;31-34; Isaiah 40:1; 49:22; 60:8-9; Ezekiel 37; Romans Chapters 9-11)
We believe in observing/ keeping the weekly Sabbath as we are told to imitate MESSIAH YESHUA in all we do, and He kept ALL the Commandments including the Sabbath. Had He not done so, Messiah would have become a sinner, as the Sabbath was in force, as were all the Ten Commandments; YESHUA would therefore have become an unfit sacrifice and could not have atoned for man’s sins. After Messiah’s ascension, new gentile believers were told to: (Acts 15; 7-11, 13-18, 19-21, 28-29; 16: 13-15). Thus we believe all believers are required by YAHWEH’s commandments and by Messiah’s example of keeping all of them, to keep the weekly sabbath, which remains in force for all believers of YAHWEH/ YESHUA. Sabbath begins at sundown on the sixth day (Friday) and ends at sundown on the seventh day (Saturday). Because YAHWEH commanded us to rest on the sabbath and keep it holy, we should be keeping YAHWEH’s Sabbath. (Genesis 2:2-3; Exodus 23: 10-13; Exodus 31:12-18; Exodus 25:1-19; Leviticus 23:3 and 32.)
We believe and participate in observing the following:
a. Water baptism (Romans 6:1-4; Matthew 28:19)
b. Communion (Luke 22:19; 1 Corinthians 11:26)
c. Dedication of children (1 Samuel 1:26-28; Mark 10:15-16)
d. Matrimony (Matthew 19:4-6; Ephesians 5:31)
e. Anointing with oil (Exodus 20:35; James 5:14)
f. Laying on of hands (Acts 6:6; Hebrews 6:1-2)
g. Seventh-day Sabbath (Genesis 2:2-3)
h. All of YAHWEH’s appointed Feast Days (Leviticus 23: 1-44)
i. Observance of the Ten Commandments within our daily walk with YESHUA
(Exodus 20:3-17; Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Matthew 22:36-40; 1 John 2:6, 5:2-4; James 2:10)
